    Mr. Daugherty founded Stanwich Advisors in 2003 and is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the firm. He also heads the firm's origination efforts and maintains key institutional investor relationships in the Eastern United States, Asia and Australia. 

    Prior to founding Stanwich Advisors, Mr. Daugherty spent 26 years at Deutsche Bank/BT Alex. Brown, where he founded the Private Fund Group in 1996 and served as Managing Director and Global Group Head.  Under his leadership, the Private Fund Group grew to 27 professionals and raised in excess of $13 billion for more than 30 private equity funds across a wide range of investment strategies. Prior to founding the Private Fund Group, Mr. Daugherty was a Managing Director in Bankers Trust's High Yield Group, a Vice President in the Investment Banking Group, and a Vice President in the Corporate Banking Group in Tokyo, Japan. 

    Mr. Daugherty is a graduate of St. Lawrence University and received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and currently serves as a Trustee for Northeast Investors Trust.

  • Timothy P. Cohan

    Mr. Cohan joined Stanwich Advisors in 2004 and is responsible for distribution and relationship management. He also is actively involved in the firm's origination, due diligence and underwriting activities.

    Prior to joining Stanwich Advisors, Mr. Cohan spent 20 years with Morgan Stanley in its Fixed Income Division, where he held several senior sales and management positions and was responsible for distributing a wide variety of domestic and international fixed income products. During his tenure at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Cohan had sales and relationship management responsibilities for many of Morgan Stanley's largest North American buy-side accounts. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Cohan was an Account Executive with Young and Rubicam, a large New York-based public relations and advertising firm. 

    Mr. Cohan is a graduate of St. Lawrence University.

  • James H. Howe
    Managing Director

    Mr. Howe joined Stanwich Advisors in 2018 and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of origination, distribution and project management. He also maintains key institutional investor relationships in Canada and Europe.

    Prior to joining Stanwich Advisors, Mr. Howe was a partner at Novafund Advisors, managing and implementing all aspects of the firm's activities in private equity sourcing, distribution and due diligence. Prior to this, he was a Managing Director at Strategic Value Partners where he headed private equity business development and investor relations. Mr. Howe was one of the founders of Private Equity Funds Group at UBS Investment Bank and led the distribution team for North America. Before this he was a senior manager in the European and Emerging Markets Equity Sales group at UBS. He served six years as an officer in the U.S. Navy, both at sea and later ashore at the United States Naval Academy.

    Mr. Howe is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and received his master's degree from Georgetown University (MALS).

  • Nina D. McKee

    Ms. McKee joined Stanwich Advisors in 2016 and is focused on origination, due diligence and distribution. She also supports the firm's project management efforts.

    Prior to joining Stanwich Advisors, Ms. McKee was a Brand Director with Pure Growth Partners, a consumer packaged goods platform, and worked across all aspects of the business from ideation, product innovation, supply chain, retail distribution and marketing execution. Prior to Pure Ventures, she was an Associate at Quilvest Private Equity, a global investment firm specializing in direct and primary fund investments, and began her career as an Analyst at Lehman Brothers/ Neuberger Berman in the private equity fund placement group.

    Ms. McKee graduated from Middlebury College where she majored in Political Science.
