Bogotá, Colombia (January 28, 2013) - Altra Investments ("Altra") recently announced the closing of its second fund, Altra Private Equity Fund II, L.P., and parallel investment funds, with total commitments of $355.8 million, exceeding its original target of $300 million due to support from existing investors and significant demand from new investors.

Limited partner commitments were secured from a diversified group of institutional investors from North America, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Among these institutions were leading public and private pension funds, funds-of-funds, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and foundations.
